The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Osteopathic Principles & Practice (OPP) Department has launched a digital learning tool featuring nearly 400 videos produced by the school’s Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) faculty, designed to help viewers perfect their technique and understanding of osteopathic treatments.
This groundbreaking digital resource called the “OMT Video Library,” provides a comprehensive curriculum of osteopathic manipulative medicine, and is intended to aid in the development of skills that practitioners need to effectively treat patients. It is ideal for exam preparation, board review, and as a teaching tool — created for osteopathic students, faculty, and other licensed clinicians.
The subscription-based service costs $10 per month or $75 per year and features an extensive catalog, organized by technique type as well as anatomical region. Categories include: Articulatory; BLT; Cranial; Counterstrain; HVLA; Muscle Energy; Lymphatics; Myofascial Release; Postural Exam; Ribs; Cervical; Thoracic; Lumbar, Sacrum, Pelvis and many more.
Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine and residency programs should contact Jennifer Kepler for information regarding institutional subscriptions.
It was developed and created by ICOM’s OPP team, including: Dr. Sarah Davis, Assistant Dean of Osteopathic Integration; Dr. Jenisa Oberbeck, Associate Professor of OPP; and Dr. Richard Sloan, Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs.
