Medical students from the ICOM chapter of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the SOMA Spring Convention and DO Day on Capitol Hill.
From hearing from esteemed speakers to meeting with legislators, ICOM students joined other osteopathic medical students from across the country to network and advocate for the profession.
The student doctors in attendance were Makayla Bussman, OMS-II, current President of ICOM-SOMA; Madison Summers, OMS-II, current National Liaison Officer of ICOM-SOMA; and Jett Murray, OMS-I, President-Elect of ICOM SOMA.
