Effective July 6, 2022, face masks are once again required at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.
On Tuesday, July 5, ICOM’s COVID-19 Task Force issued updated guidance that coincides with the COVID transmission rate in Ada County, recently categorized as “high.” Both Central District Health and the CDC recommend wearing a mask when in an indoor public space, regardless of vaccination status where community transmission levels are high.
At ICOM, students, employees and visitors are asked to abide by the following:
- Masks may be removed when alone in a room, or with consent of all individuals in that room.
- Cloth masks are fine, but N-95 masks may be worn at the distraction of the individual and are available at the security desk.
- Course directors will decide if cloth or N-95 masks will be worn in close contact, in-person training.
- Individuals who are ill are asked to stay home.
COVID test kits remain available free of charge for students and employees in need. Questions or concerns from students should be directed to Liz Watson. Employees should contact Shannon Blackstock.
