The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) will be hosting its fourth annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10 AM – 2 PM at its Meridian-based campus. Community members from the Treasure Valley and beyond are encouraged to attend and obtain free health services, connect with area providers and students, and learn more about wellness opportunities in the area.
The fair is organized by ICOM’s Student Health Fair Committee and Student Government Association, and will offer complimentary blood pressure screenings, vision exams, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) demonstrations, among other free services. Mammograms and clinical breast exams will also be available with support from the Saint Alphonsus Mobile Mammography Bus. HbA1c and lipid screenings will be available through the support of Central District Health. Additionally, local organizations will be offering educational resources and promotions, and Mitch Lyman, an Independent Medicare Agent, will be offering Medicare Insurance assistance. ICOM student organizations will be supporting the event with activities, patient education, and informative presentations. Health services will only be available for those 18 and older, but all ages are welcome to attend.
