Student Doctor Lu Wolff, OMS-II, has been named the 2024-2025 Student Doctor of the Year (SDOY) at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Each year, the ICOM Student Government Association requests nominations of students who demonstrate the principles of leadership, community service, dedication and professionalism. Osteopathic medical colleges across the country select one student from their respective institutions to compete for the National SDOY Award.
Student Doctor Wolff, a member of ICOM’s Class of 2027, currently serves as President of ICOM’s Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) and is also a member of the Professional Development Committee, and Leadership and Certification Task Force with National SOMA.
Most recently, Student Doctor Wolff was named as Region V Trustee Elect of the National Student Osteopathic Medical Association, inducted into Omega Beta Iota: the National Osteopathic Political Honor Society, and selected to serve on the Idaho Osteopathic Physicians Association Board.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to be recognized as ICOM’s Student Doctor of the Year. The unwavering confidence and support from the faculty, my peers, and this community inspire me daily and fortify my commitment to excellence in service and leadership as I prepare for my future as a physician,” said Student Doctor Wolff. “I am excited to continue making a meaningful impact within our school and beyond, serving with compassion and dedication while upholding the core values and principles that define our institution and the osteopathic profession.”
As Student Doctor of the Year, Lu Wolff will represent the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine for the National Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents’ (COSGP) SDOY competition this spring.
